Learn the art of making your own storybook with WA author Sally Barton during the school holidays!
Sally will teach children the art of storytelling and making books. Using old family photos as inspiration, Sally will help children make their own storybook, and show them how to bind and decorate their books with paper, ribbon, or string.

If you have a favourite family photo, please bring a copy.

Suitable for ages 7 to 12.
All levels of reading and writing abilities are welcome to join in.

Sally has written and published a range of children’s books, including the Something Terrible series. The first book in the series, Tim Tie Your Shoelaces, has been shortlisted for the 2026 Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year award in the Younger Readers category! Sally also has experience tutoring students and supporting children of all literacy levels to be creative and enjoy writing stories.
