If you’re looking for your family’s next favourite hangout spot, let me tell you — Expedition Park in Clarkson’s Catalina Green is an absolute gem.

Expedition Park is not just big — it’s mega. Thoughtfully designed with integrated play spaces, grassy areas perfect for picnics and parties, BBQ stations, shaded picnic tables, and bike/scooter paths flowing all around. Bring a hat, sunscreen, picnic blanket, and your wheels — this place is ready for all-day fun!

Right at the entrance, you’re greeted by something brand new and seriously cool — the Yalp Memo, an Interactive Activity Zone that merges tech, fitness, and fun. Kids (and even parents!) can pick games from a central post and use the 360° touch screens to play memory games, math challenges, races, and more. It’s engaging, educational, and so much fun — perfect for solo play or red vs blue team competitions. Our tip: bring a buddy to play against!

Other park highlights include:

• A multi-level rope climbing structure including three tube slides

One of my favourite parts? The Mo the Sun Moth art adventure, where kids follow signs, explore sensory puzzles and textures, and end up at a lookout to spot the moth before heading into a magical nature-themed structure. It’s a playful mix of art, discovery, and outdoor fun — the kind of adventure that makes memories.

There’s even a fitness station for adults (yep, parents can get a quick workout in!), and a Village Green community space that’s perfect for future events, picnics, or casual hangouts.
