Bells Rapids Park
Bells Rapids is a popular family-friendly picnic and walking spot on the Swan River, located in Brigadoon in the Perth Hills. Known for its picturesque rapids, rocky outcrops and suspension bridge, itโs a great place for kids to explore nature, throw stones in the water, spot birds and enjoy a bushwalk close to the city.
Why Families Will Love It
- Scenic Suspension Bridge: Kids will love walking over the long wooden bridge with views of the rapids below. Great photo spot.
- Easy Riverside Exploring: Plenty of shallow edges (in low water) for supervised stone throwing and playing by the waterโs edge.
- Picnic-Friendly: Open grassy areas near the car park perfect for a picnic rug. A lovely stop before or after exploring the Swan Valley.
- Short & Longer Walk Options: Choose a quick wander to the bridge and rocks, or venture further on one of the looping trails.
- Winter Water & Wildflowers: In winter and early spring the rapids really roar, and wildflowers line the trails in season.
