Located at Loftus Community Centre (99 Loftus Street, Leederville), this not-for-profit community organization offers an extensive collection of high-quality toys for children aged 6 months to 7 years. The library is open every Saturday (9:00am-11:30am) and the first Tuesday of each month (7:30pm-8:30pm), excluding long weekends and holiday periods.
Membership options:
- Standard: $100/year + $50 refundable bond
- Concession: $50/year (Health Care Card holders) + $50 refundable bond
- Casual: $30 one-off + $50 refundable bond (limited to 20 toy loans)
Members can borrow up to six toys for four weeks at a time. The library features an extensive collection including baby toys, construction sets, vehicles, Montessori materials, STEM toys, popular culture items, and outdoor equipment. They also offer sensory-friendly options for children with additional needs, with quiet sessions available upon request.
Members are required to complete up to three duty rosters annually and participate in the annual stocktake. This volunteer system helps maintain low membership costs while fostering community connections.
