Established in 1987, Cottesloe Toy Library is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community organization offering hundreds of quality toys for children from infancy through age 7. The library operates on a bi-weekly schedule, opening Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9:30-11:00am.
Membership options include:
- 12-month membership: $100
- Temporary 3-month membership: $30
Members can borrow up to five items at a time from an extensive collection including:
- Building sets and magnetic tiles
- Imaginative play items (costumes, kitchen sets, playhouses)
- Outdoor and sports equipment (bikes, scooters, sports gear)
- Educational toys and games (puzzles, counting toys, board games)
Annual members are asked to volunteer 2-4 times per year, helping keep costs low while fostering community connections. The library maintains a family-friendly environment where children are welcome during volunteer shifts. No late fees apply, though members are expected to return items promptly and cover replacement costs for lost or significantly damaged items.
