Fragola Park Playground, next to the big open grass field of Fragola Park in Landsdale, is a lovely little local spot thatโs well worth a visit โ especially if youโre based in Perthโs northern suburbs.
Arriving is straightforward, with a designated parking area right by the Playground. While the play space isnโt fully fenced, it is semi closed off from the parking zone, which offers some reassurance while you supervise. There are no toilets on site, so itโs definitely one of those parks where a bathroom stop before you arrive is a must. A drink fountain is available, which is very handy on hot days or after lots of running around.

The Playground surface is a combination of sand and soft-fall rubber, making it suitable for a range of ages and abilities. Shade is well considered, with shade sails covering parts of the play equipment, as well as shaded picnic tables that are perfect for snacks, lunch, or a longer catch-up with friends.

Thereโs also unshaded seating if you prefer to sit in the sun and watch the kids play.

One of the standout features of Fragola Park Playground is its sweet space-themed play area. Children are welcomed by star shapes embedded in the pathways and a cute rocket ship climbing structure thatโs especially appealing for toddlers and younger kids.

This low-to-the-ground piece includes sensory play panels, a small slide, rope elements, and even a steering wheel, all of which encourage imaginative, role-based play as little astronauts blast off into space.

Nearby, a spaceship-style seesaw rocker continues the cosmic adventure and is perfect for shared giggles.

Swing lovers are also well catered for here. The Playground includes a pod swing for lounging and gentle swinging, a traditional flat seat swing, and a cradle/bucket swing thatโs ideal for babies and toddlers who need more support.

For kids who enjoy a bit more speed and challenge, thereโs a swinging spindle โstand and spinโ piece, as well as an air-surfer style swing that lets children sway and surf through the air โ both pieces are usually a big hit with more adventurous riders.

For those who love getting hands-on, the sand play station is a real drawcard. With equipment designed for scooping, pouring and digging, itโs the perfect excuse to bring along your own sand toys for extra play value.

Older or more confident children will gravitate towards the larger climbing structure. This section focuses on physical challenges and coordination, featuring a rope spider web for climbing, a wave slide, fire pole and rock climbing wall. Itโs an area thatโs particularly suited to primary-aged kids who are ready for a bit more height and adventure, while younger children may need close supervision or may prefer the smaller rocket play area.

Beyond the main Playground, the adjoining grass field is ideal for ball games, frisbee, or simply letting kids run and burn off extra energy. It also makes Fragola Park a good option if youโre looking to bring along a footy or soccer ball, or even set up a little family picnic on the grass. If youโre in need of coffee or a bite to eat before or after your play, nearby Cafรฉ Ya Here is the closest spot, making it easy to turn a quick park stop into a relaxed family outing.

Overall, Fragola Park Playground is a well-rounded local Playground that offers a great mix of imaginative, sensory and active play. With its space theme, varied equipment, shaded seating and large grassed area, it caters nicely to a wide age range and is a lovely option for families in and around Landsdale looking for a fun, low-key place to play.
