Terrific Trees Children’s Workshop
Discover the wonders of trees in this hands‑on, interactive workshop for children. From the hidden world of roots to the leafy canopy above, participants will explore how every part of a tree supports nature.
Children will learn how trees connect with soil, nurture wildlife, clean the air we breathe and strengthen our suburbs, while building curiosity and respect for the natural world.
In this workshop, we explore:
- What trees are and the different parts that help them grow
- How trees connect to the wider ecosystem
- The soil food web and the importance of roots
- How trunks grow and transport water and nutrients
- What leaves do and why they are remarkable
- How to care for and protect trees
- Common local tree species and how to spot them in your neighbourhood.
This workshop encourages children to develop curiosity, confidence and a lifelong appreciation for nature.
Suitable for ages 6–14.
Adult supervision is required and participation is encouraged.
