There’s no better place to spend the last day of 2025 and welcome the new year with friends and family.

Enjoy a day of exploring the island before relaxing into an afternoon of fun, family-friendly entertainment with roving performances and live music from 4 pm.

As the sun dips below the horizon of the Indian Ocean, gather to mark the occasion with a spectacular free family fireworks display above Thomson Bay at 8 pm. It’s the perfect way to usher in a bright new year and create lasting memories.

With regular ferry services departing back to Fremantle and Hillarys from 8:45 pm, you can enjoy the island all day before heading home after the fireworks.

Where to Find the Event

The event is located in the heart of the main settlement, across Thomson Lawn, which is an easy two-minute walk from the main jetty.

Ferry Travel

Ferry tickets to Wadjemup / Rottnest Island are not included in your event registration. To book your tickets, visit:
