Join us for a very special storytime with Dr Holly Bradley, co-author of Milly Meelyu, a beautiful dual-language picture book celebrating both English and Badimia.
Milly Meelyu follows the journey of a tiny Western spiny-tail skink who must find a new home after her habitat is destroyed. Along the way, children discover powerful lessons about caring for our environment, respecting Country, and the deep connections between people, animals, and land.
The workshop is suitable for children aged 6 years +
Please be advised that children under the age of 13 years are to be accompanied by an adult at this activity.
If you are unwell or cannot attend, please contact the library as soon as you are able to allow someone else to take your place.
About Holly Bradley
When Dr Holly Bradley isn’t in the jungle with sloths or helping save an endangered lizard out in the middle of Western Australia, she spends her spare time writing fiction. Holly is both a writer and a conservation biologist, who focused her PhD research on better understanding the ecology of the Meelyu. She has a keen interest in connecting with the community, particularly children, and sharing the importance of conserving our fascinating.
