An exhibition by Richmind and other artists, to promote the benefits of art for all our mental health and raise funds for Richmind WA’s Mental Health Services Art Therapy Program, “HeART & Soul”.
 
Curated by Richmind’s Principal Artist in Residence and “Creative Therapies Coordinator David Giles

The HeART & Soul art project began as a simple distraction activity created to support people through the Christmas period, a sometimes difficult and isolating time of year. The obvious benefits of meeting in a safe friendly supportive positive and encouraging space to create art, led to the program becoming ongoing and a new focus of Richmind’s recovery approach and brand.
 
This exhibition celebrates the numerous and profound benefits art can have on our mental health and the amazing diversity of ways people can express themselves creatively to support their wellbeing. The brief for the artists was “What brings meaning to my life?”
