Goanna Bush Cafe is worth every second of the 10-minute drive from Dunsborough.
The peaceful spot offers up excellent food for breakfast and lunch, great coffee and it’s so family friendly too.
There’s indoor and outdoor seating options – including a covered alfresco area out the front, inside the main cafe area, out on the back deck overlooking the dense bush.
Or, what parents of little ones will love – a covered dining area directly in front a shaded kids play area and blackboard.
Take a wander down the winding gravel paths and see what you find on the Sculpture Walk.
There’s plenty of quirky artworks to spy.
Next to the deck, there’s a large sandpit/nature play area that the kiddos can roam and explore.
There’s a kids menu too. First up, caffeine (a great flat white) and a scrumptious iced chocolate.
The breakfast dishes at Goanna Bush Cafe are all excellent quality and soul nourishing food. I chose a simple Bacon and Eggs on GF toast and it was perfect – buttery eggs, crisp, but not chewy bacon. Yum! Mr H lapped up the meaty brisket breakfast, with stewed beans, fried polenta and perfectly poached runny eggs.
We’ll most definitely be back!
