The Malabar Park BMX & Community Facility in Bibra Lake is finally open to the public after a lengthy delay. Home to the Cockburn BMX Club, this $8.9m redevelopment project is set to welcome national-level BMX events for all local and interstate riders with its new Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) accredited track!
Whether you have a BMX enthusiast or beginners looking for a new place to try some BMX racing and training, Malabar Park BMX & Community Facility is the exciting place for the whole family to have a ball in community riding while enjoying the other fantastic facilities like the pump track, playground, clubhouse and BBQ facilities.
Riders can expect top-notch racing on this exceptional UCI track that includes a 5m start ramp and features exciting double, roller, rhythm section and berm to challenge their riding skills to the extreme.
Other facilities include:
-Warm-up track for practices.
-A decent-sized pump track suitable for children and the public to enjoy.
-Toddler-friendly playground with array of climbing structures, swings and nature play trail.
-BBQ facilities and seating conveniently located just beside the playground.
-Spectators can find grassed areas and seating located on the outside of the multipurpose community facility hall, with toilets located inside.
-A new carpark located inside the gated compound.
Do note that tracks in this park are for BMX bikes, balance bikes and other pedal-powered bicycles with rubber tyres only. Electric bikes and hard plastic-tyred vehicles such as skateboards and scooters are not allowed as they cause damage to the polymer BMX track. For personal safety, riders should have an approved helmet, appropriate clothing and enclosed footwear while riding.
The BMX park is open to public for use from 6am to 7pm expect when booked by Cockburn BMX Club. Check out Cockburn BMX Club and join them on Tuesday evening during school term for some fun racing classes!
