DESCRIPTION:Guided by producers with experience in music\, sound design\, and engineering\, Ignite‘s Music Production courses are immersive and empower young musicians to create their own original tracks using industry-standard software. The course also offers opportunities to connect with other young producers in a supportive and collaborative community.  \nBeginner Music Production Course\nThe Ignite Music: Production Course (Beginner) introduces participants to the use of Ableton Live music production software and teaches them foundational techniques. Topics covered include (but are not limited to): \n🎶 Introduction to Ableton Live 12 : gain an understanding of how this industry-leading music production software – including its interface\, tools\, and workflow – to create\, produce\, and perform music in real time. \n🎶 Audio editing\, recording\, MIDI\, Drum Rack\, effects\, and automation : learn how to record and edit audio\, sequence MIDI\, build beats\, apply effects\, and use automation. \n🎶 Synthesis\, sound design\, sampling\, and music theory basis : explore synthesis and sound design\, creating using samples\, and applying basic music theory. \n🎶 Arrangement and composition : arrange and compose musical tracks to construct engaging songs from start to finish\, like the pros do! \nProgram specifics and requirements\n\nParticipants are encouraged to BYO laptops\, however computers are available if necessary.\nParticipants aged 14 – 25 years are eligible to register for this program. DESCRIPTION:Looking for a chill spot to hang out? Young people are welcome at our youth centres during Drop-In sessions! Meet new friends\, play games\, and just unwind with Youth Workers on hand.  \nNo registration is required to attend. Unless stated otherwise\, all activities hosted during Drop-In are free and light refreshments provided. \n  \nThe Underground\nThe Underground is packed with awesome gear for young people: pool tables\, table tennis\, PS5\, Xbox One\, Nintendo Switch\, Foosball\, and more.\nWe also have a digital recording studio available for school and community groups during the day and for hire in the evenings. With qualified sound engineers and a Beginner’s Guide to Studio Recording\, you and your band will be ready to rock your session.\nPassionate musicians can perform on our fully equipped stage at Late Night Live\, our once-a-term live music night.
