DESCRIPTION:Clay For Kids is a 2 day program provided to young people 7 -12 years with a family member or a friend living with a mental health challenge\n\n\nClay for Kids is a school holiday program for young people aged 7–12 years with a family member or a friend living with a mental health challenge. Join us these school holidays to explore thoughts and feelings through the fun and creative medium of clay\, along with games and activities. \nThis program also includes an exciting excursion to Strike Bowling & Mini Golf. \nWhen \n14 Jan | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM \n15 Jan | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nWho \nFor youth aged 7 to 12 years with a family member or a friend living with a mental health challenge. \nWhere \nDay 1 – South Lake Ottey CentreDay 2 – Excursion to Strike Bowling & Mini Golf\, Fremantle \nBring \nHat\, sun cream\, water bottle\, enclosed shoes \nRefreshments \nLunch and snacks provided \nCost \nFree \nPlease note that this booking is an ‘Expression of Interest’ and not confirmation of attendance. \nA member of our team will contact you to complete the HelpingMinds registration and eligibility process. Please add Parent/Guardian details in the CONTACT INFORMATION section and young person’s details in the TICKET – EXPRESSION OF INTEREST section. If booking multiple tickets\, please fill in one young person’s details per ticket. \nWant to know more or have some questions or having trouble registering? \nYou can either: \n• email shp@helpingminds.org.au \n• call 9427 7100 and ask for SHP Administration \n………………………………………………………………………………. \nSchool Holiday Program important info \n\nIf your child has not received support from HelpingMinds before (or within the last 6 months) a phone interview will need to take place with the parent/guardian\nA consent form will need to be signed by both parents.\nIf children require medication throughout the day\, they will be required to self-administer this.\nExternal support workers are not allowed at the workshop.\nChildren require adequate independent coping skills to be able to deal with group situations.\nAll our workshops have a maximum capacity to ensure our counsellors can provide adequate professional support for all children attending.\nTo give everyone in the community a fair chance\, each child can enrol in a maximum of two workshops.\n\n\nThis program is funded by the Mental Health Commission to provide support to young people caring for someone or with a loved one with a mental health concern.
