The program encourages participants to build positive relationships\, understand the importance of healthy friendships\, and recognise what a supportive relationship looks like. \nThe workshop includes a fun excursion to Holey Moley Carousel for bowling. \nWhen \n20 Jan | 9:00AM- 4:00PM \n21 Jan | 9:00AM- 4:00PM (Excursion to Holey Moley Carousel) \nWhere \nPiara Waters Pavilion \nWho \nYoung people aged 7 to 12 who have a family member or a friend living with a mental health challenge. \nBring \nHat\, sun cream\, water bottle\, enclosed shoes \nRefreshments \nLunch and snacks provided \nCost \nFree \nPlease note that this booking is an ‘Expression of Interest’ and not confirmation of attendance. \nA member of our team will contact you to complete the HelpingMinds registration and eligibility process. If booking multiple tickets\, please fill in one young person’s details per ticket. \nWant to know more or have some questions or having trouble registering? \nYou can either: \n• email shp@helpingminds.org.au \n• call 9427 7100 and ask for SHP Administration \n………………………………………………………………………………. \nSchool Holiday Program important info \n\nIf your child has not received support from HelpingMinds before (or within the last 6 months) a phone interview will need to take place with the parent/guardian\nA consent form will need to be signed by both parents.\nIf children require medication throughout the day\, they will be required to self-administer this.\nExternal support workers are not allowed at the workshop.\nChildren require adequate independent coping skills to be able to deal with group situations.\nAll our workshops have a maximum capacity to ensure our counsellors can provide adequate professional support for all children attending.\nTo give everyone in the community a fair chance\, each child can enrol in a maximum of two workshops.\nFor youth aged 7 to 12 who are at risk of developing a mental health challenge themselves. HelpingMinds offer support for young people\, focusing on managing emotions\, building resilience\, and addressing concerns like anxious thoughts\, emotional regulation\, relationship complications\, and sadness.
