DESCRIPTION:(For children aged 7-10 years) \nDelivered by the Red Cross\, this workshop encourages children to be active participants in their own emergency preparedness\, learning about the types of emergencies they may encounter and the importance of being prepared. \nThe one-hour workshop involves engaging discussions and interactive activities to help children: \n\nUnderstand and discuss the importance of being prepared\nPrepare their mind for the thoughts and feelings that may arise before\, during and after an emergency\nknow what to pack in an emergency kit.\n\nEach child will be given a pillowcase to decorate and take home to start their own personal emergency kit. \nBookings for this free event are essential at https://events.humanitix.com/130126m. \nThis event is for children aged 7 to 10 years. You do not need to book tickets for adults accompanying children. \nChildren aged under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. \nPlease let us know if you have any accessibility requirements.
