DESCRIPTION:Join us on a thrifting adventure and enjoy a morning of sustainable fashion\, bargains and fantastic finds!\n\n\nJoin us on a thrifting adventure and enjoy a morning of sustainable fashion\, bargains and fantastic finds! \nBus will leave Lynwood Youth Hub at 9.30am Sharp jump on the bus and head to Good Sammy warehouse in Canning Vale\, for a ‘behind the scenes’ look at how op shop donations are sorted. Learn the journey of a donation from drop off to resale or repurpose\, and discover how everyday items can be diverted from landfill and given a new life. \nWe’ll then hunt for second-hand bargains in the Good Sammy Factory Outlet Canning Vale. \nThe bus will return to Lynwood Youth Hub by 1.30pm. \nMorning tea and voucher to shop in the Factory Outlet included. \nThis event has been supported by a grant from the Government of Western Australia and the Waste Authority. Together\, we’re giving young people in Canning the tools and inspiration to rethink fast fashion and choose sustainable alternatives such as upcycling\, swapping and second-hand shopping. \nRegister your interest. This event is open for young people aged 11-17 yrs\, youth who do not meet the required age will have their ticket refunded. \nPlease ensure that you arrive 5 mins prior to the event start time to have your name marked off by one of the Youth Workers and bring your ticket with you. \nPlease note that no food will be provided during this event. Water is available however we do encourage you to bring your own water bottle. \nDuty of Care: The City of Canning is committed to providing safe and supported environments where young people can feel welcome and thrive. Using special glass paints and brushes\, young people can create their own designs\, such as flowers\, animals\, patterns\, or abstract artwork on glass cups that they will get to take home after the activity. This activity helps develop creativity and attention to detail while encouraging self-expression. The finished cups can be used as decorations\, gifts\, or keepsakes. \nRegister your interest.
