DESCRIPTION:Outgrown but not outworn? Bring clean\, good condition kids clothes (0 – 7years)\, like you’d gift to a friend\, and leave with fresh finds you kids can enjoy – sustainably and without spending a cent! \nDrop off clothes prior to the event to allow staff time to sort and display clothes\, or bring them on the day. \nThe City is hosting this event to help residents refresh their child’s wardrobe sustainably and affordably whilst avoiding outgrown clothes from potentially entering landfill. \nWalk ins welcome but registrations encouraged. \nClothing drop-off prior to the event\nClothing collection opens March 16\, ends Friday\, April 10 – please adhere to the opening hours of the collection locations which are as follows: \n\nCity of Swan Administration – 2 Midland Square\, Midland | collection basket located next to recycling station | Monday to Friday\, 8am to 5pm (excluding Public Holidays)\nGuildford Library – 97 James Street\, Guildford | Monday: 10am – 5pm\, Wednesday: 10am – 2pm\, Thursday: 3 – 7pm\, Friday: 10am – 5pm\, Saturday: 10am – 2pm (excluding Public Holidays)\n\nFor donations over one large bag or box\, please contact ThinkingGreenTeam@swan.wa.gov.au and we will meet you at the Administration building to directly take the bag from you to ensure the collection baskets don’t overflow. \nWhat to expect\n\nWe aim to have clothing on tables according to size.\nThere is no requirement to bring clothes to swap in order to take items home.\nPlease only bring clothing that you would gift to a friend.\nPlease only bring clean clothing and shoes\, no linen or other items. You may be asked to take back items which are not suitable.\nPlease bring a reusable bag to take home your pre-loved goodies.\nPlease be mindful and take items that you will use.\nPlease be respectful to other attendees.\n\nFor clothing that is not fit to be gifted\, swapped or donated\, please consider recycling options such as Perth Community Clothing recycling Wholesaler or Upparel. Clothing and textiles cannot go into your yellow lidded curbside recycling bin \nPhotography and videography may be taken at this event. Images and footage may be used by the City of Swan and event organisers for marketing and promotional purposes.
