SUMMARY:Bayswater Skatepark Jam Session - Skateboard\, Scooter\, BMX
DESCRIPTION:Freestyle Now will be hosting a skate\, scooter and BMX skatepark jam session at Bayswater skatepark. All skill levels welcome.\n\n\nThanks to the City of Bayswater. \nFreestyle Now will be hosting a FREE skatepark coaching jam session at the Bayswater skatepark. Participants in skateboard\, scooter and bmx will be able to learn new tricks or get advice on tricks and gain new confidence levels but most of all everyone can have a stack of fun. The coaching jam sessions are more than just helping teach skills. These workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. All our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Our workshops cover all aspects of the sports\, as well as equipment maintenance and personal safety issues.  \nThroughout the skatepark jam session a variety of challenges will cater for all levels of abilities in scooter participants. This is a chance for participants to showcase their abilities amongst their peers and for the community to see the skatepark participants excelling in a positive way. Some of the types of challenges that might take place would include best trick\, longest manual\, best trick on a certain part of the skatepark\, most engaged rider\, best youngest rider\, etc. Prizes are given out to the winners of the challenges.  \nAll equipment is checked prior to the participant’s involvement to make sure that it is in a safe condition and minor repairs or adjustments can be made if necessary. We do\, however\, reserve the right to not permit a participant to attend the workshop if we feel that their equipment does not meet safety requirements. \nKey points \n\nParticipants must be wearing a helmet\nPlease remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen\nParticipants must be over the age of 6\nParents must stay on site if their child is under 12\nPlease arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendance\nDisclaimer form will need to be signed on the day\n\nThe squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. \nAll our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. DESCRIPTION:Freestyle Now will be hosting a skateboard\, scooter rollerskate coaching session for\, Thanks to the City of Bayswater.\n\n\nThanks to the City of Bayswater\, Freestyle Now will be hosting a SHE / HER / Gender Diverse skatepark coaching session for skateboard\, scooter\, BMX and rollerskate participants at the Bayswater skatepark.  \nFollowed by a mixed skateboard\, scooter\, BMX\, rollerskate. \n \nFreestyle Now will create a safe space for participants to learn in. \n \nSession 1 – 9:00am (She / Her /Gender Diverse) \nSession 2 – 10:00am (Mixed) \n \nLOCATION – Bayswater Skatepark\, Wotton Reserve\, Embelton Ave\, Embelton \n \nThe workshop sessions would be open to any participant over the age of 6. \n \nFreestyle Now squad members will offer participants technical advice\, trick tips\, skill development and skatepark etiquette\, as well as give step by step instructions on how to achieve greater levels of confidence. \n \nEach coaching workshop session is 50 minutes in duration.  A parent information session takes place between the two sessions so if you are in the second session please be early. Our facilitators analyze the participants skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. Skills can be taught but confidence cannot. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our instructors speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay this safety message to our participants and reiterate the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. \nParticipants are split up into groups based on their skills and or what is required to learn. \n \nAll participants would need their own equipment and would also be required to wear a helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our facilitators are not able to make repairs to participants equipment during the coaching session. \n \nParticipants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. \n \nKey points \nLimited spare scooters and skateboard will be available  \nCoaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters.   \nParticipants must be wearing a helmet \nPlease remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen \nParticipants must be over the age of 6  \nParents must stay on site if their child is under 12 \nPlease arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendance \nDisclaimer form will need to be signed on the day \n \nFreestyle Now coaching workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. \nThe squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. \n \nAll our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well.
