Why do we love playgrounds near cafes?
Kids love going wild in at a park. But sometimes parenting is hard or tiring, what with sleepless nights, teething and everything else. Sometimes parents and carers need to exercise self-care. Stopping at a family-friendly coffee shop or restaurant while taking the kids out to a playground can help. Adults can grab a much-needed coffee or bite to eat. Situated in the Shorehaven Estate is Shorehaven Boulevard Playground – a lovely, partially fenced playground that is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. Shorehaven Boulevard Playground features some play equipment we hadn’t come across before, and Miss 3 had a great time exploring. In the sand area, we found lots of colourful wood and plastic based play equipment. The lowest parts are made up of interconnected stations and feature some sensory play. Escarpment Park is a community playspace for local residents in Alkimos. The park is a large open playspace set in sand, grass and softfall. Suitable for kids 12months+ with some great pieces of play equipment for older kids. A pathway meanders around the park great for scooters and bikes. One of the main features of the park is this huge long tubular slide and cubby house fortress. Great for fantasy play!
