The ultimate guide to the best playgrounds and parks in Perth! Kids love burning off energy at parks and playgrounds, and Perth’s got some of the best in the world. We’ve seen many new super parks open up recently with some impressive play equipment, features and facilities. Best of all, they’re all FREE!
We’ve listed sand and no-sand parks as we know this can be an issue with some parents not wanting their kids to play in sand. We’ve added categories to filter parks with water features, enclosed fenced playgrounds, partly fenced and non-fenced. Those with open water where you can visit the ducks and enjoy some wildlife during your trip to the park. Many parks have toilets. However, some local community playgrounds don’t, which can be a deal breaker if you’re potty training your little one or want to stay longer than an hour. So we’ve listed parks with toilets available.

The structure itself is mainly wooden with a sand pit base and features a wavy slide and rope ladders. Coogee Beach Playground – it’s been many years since I visited Coogee Beach. Thankfully not much has changed. The beautiful lush grass strip is still there and is perfect for a game of cricket or dusting off the old frisbee or kicking the ball around. My daughter thought it was her racing track and proceeded to show off her running skills to who ever was interested.
