Looking for an indoor play date with a family feel? Head to The Playground in Rockingham. Situated centrally near Rockingham shopping centre, it has free parking, is fully air conditioned, has free wi-fi, a cafe with healthy snacks and lots of varied play equipment for children up to the age of 12.
The Playground is a family run business for families. It provides a safe and attractive indoor play centre for children, while you can relax, have a coffee, something to eat and catch up with friends.
There is a lot to discover for all the family at the playground. As soon as you enter you’ll see that large multi-tiered, brightly coloured play equipment, with excited children exploring, climbing and flying through the centre. It has been carefully designed to maximise children’s enjoyment and is divided into lots of different sections presenting different challenges plus it has a designed area for little ones.
We spent most of our time in the section for under 4’s, this area is sectioned off from the rest of the playground. There is a good variety of soft play equipment, slides, tunnels, a bouncy castle and ball pit for this age group.
This area is situated next to the cafe area so you can either watch them whilst having a coffee or go in with them if you need to.
There are three dedicated party rooms, one is a fairy princesses dream called the fairy glade, there are the super hero room and a haunted house, they all look fantastic!
They have lots of different meal plan and party extra options which staff are happy to help with and arrange everything for you! The playground is also available for hire out of hours if you are interested in having the whole place to yourselves!
The cafe is reasonably priced and sells a wide variety of meal options, snacks and drinks. As well as hot chips, wedges, toasted sandwiches and burgers they also have a large selection of healthy meals and snacks.
We choose the toddler lunch which included a cheese and ham sandwich, apple juice, grapes, strawberries and a gluten free mini blueberry muffin all for $6.
There are plenty of great rides, arcade games and claw machines with soft toys to win. There is an additional cost for these.
Inside the main area, there are three bouncy castles and two flying foxes as well as a massive array of multi-tiered climbing equipment and slides. It’s a child’s Labyrinth! The structures also hold adults too so if you need to go and retrieve a small person or just want to get in on the action its ok!
