This year’s Entwined in the Valley, a fantastic festival in the Swan Valley, is set to be bigger, better and more kid-friendly than ever! Held over the weekend of October 10 to 13, the festival promises a tonne of FREE and affordable fun for all the family. From children’s art classes, to artisan markets and even a coffee festival – there’s something for the whole family to enjoy at this year’s Entwined.

Fiori Coffee Carnivale – 13 Oct

The brilliant Oakover Estate, home of Fiori Coffee, plays host to the fantastic Fiori Coffee Carnivale! Bring your family and throw a picnic rug down on the lawn. Kids can get their boogie shoes on and dance to live jazz music, as well as being wowed by talented circus entertainers. There’s even a nature hunt, riding the paddle boats on the lake, face painting and much more.

For parents, watch a barista battle, or budding artists at work with Pinot & Painting Art Studio. Feeling peckish? Book a table in the restaurant, buy picnic baskets packed with coffee-inspired dishes, or coffee-rubbed brisket in a bun from the mouth-watering Smokehouse. FREE entry, food and drink extra.

Artisan Experience at Albion on Swan – 10/11/12/13 Oct

Discover tasty goodies handmade by local artisans, stock up on fresh produce from local farms, and enjoy a selection of wines at Albion on Swan’s cellar door. Be sure to pack a picnic to enjoy on the lawns by the Swan River. FREE entry, food and drink extra.


Family Fun Day with the Midnight Society Show and Shine – 12 Oct 

Love cars? Enjoy American-style burgers at kid-friendly Joey’s Swan Valley Diner, as well as rides, ice-creams, a Show and Shine car display and much more! FREE entry, food and drink extra. (Gold Coin Donation for display).


Kids Get Painting – 12 Oct

Parents can sit back with a tasty cheese platter at the Cheese Barrel, while the kids get arty for Entwined in the Valley! Book your little artists (aged 4 to 12yrs) into a hands-on painting session with unconventional painting tools o hosted by the “Queen of Fun”, Karen Price of Hills Visual Artistry. $10 per child, book online.


Swan Valley Sisters and Friends Market Day – 12 Oct

The Swan Valley Sisters and their friends welcome you to their second annual market day. The sisters are passionate about local produce and supporting small growers. Take your esky and stock up your fridge at this family event which focuses on fresh, local produce, as well as local art and beverages. For the kids they’ll be face painting, arts and crafts, and horse and cart rides around their beautiful property. FREE entry, food and drink extra.

Spring Art and Craft Markets – 12/13 Oct

Take a wander around the art and craft market stalls at Ugly Duckling Wines. As well as being a child friendly event – fur babies are also welcome to join in the fun! FREE entry, food and drink extra.


Food, Fun and Wine – 13 Oct

Enjoy a family for a day of food, fun and wine at Carilley Estate‘s Entwined in the Valley event. Adults can indulge in wine and food, while there’s a bouncy castle, animal farm, pony rides and of course Carilley’s own playground for kids! FREE entry, food and drink extra.

Oktoberfest Family Day – 13 Oct

Relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the Swan Valley’s largest biergarten at Elmar’s Oktoberfest! The German-style festival has live music, authentic German eats and more. Tickets $11.76 per adult, children 2-17yrs are free when accompanied by an adult.


Sunday Fun Day at The Hen- 13 Oct

Head to The Hen for live-action dodgeball, cute critters from Swan Valley’s Cuddly Animal Farm, boutique local wine tastings, and a house-band to flap your feathers too! FREE entry, food and drink extra.
