From the 1st to the 23rd of December, something very magical at Crown Perth is happening! Santa’s Magical Kingdom is a wonderful walk-through experience that includes everything that your family loves about Christmas. We loved this fabulous festive event last year and it’s back bigger and better for 2017. Here’s our guide to what you can expect.
Santa’s Magical Kingdom is incredible value for money. Included in the price of your ticket are unlimited rides, a 40 minute circus spectacular packed with international acts, arts and crafts, the chance to meet your favourite movie characters, meet Santa, with a FREE gift from him, plus much more – there is SO MUCH value included in your ticket.
The massive Crown Pyramid is transformed into a winter wonderland, with “snow” falling from the sky and Christmas songs playing along in the background to get you all into the Christmas mood.
In Snowland you can also meet the Snow Fairy. Professional photos with her are also available at an extra cost.
Children will delight in meeting Santa and telling him what they have at the top of their Christmas wish list. Each child receives a free gift from him. You can also get professional photos with him for an extra cost.
All around the Crown Pyramid, there are roving Christmas characters to get a snap with, give a high five to or have a cuddle, including a teddy bear and Poppy and Branch from Dreamworks Trolls!
Don’t forget to snap a pic in Santa Claus’ Sleigh! Mrs Claus is always happy to pose for pictures.
The Christmas themed activities will capture the imagination of your children. At the Gingerbread Land kids can decorate their very own gingerbread man with lollies, using icing for glue. Afterwards, they can eat their tasty creations too!
There is magical Christmas storytelling with Mrs Claus. She will also help children write a letter to Santa. Over at the Christmas Craft Village, kids can make their own Christmas decoration to take home for their tree.
At the Christmas Craft Village children can get creative and make their very own Christmas tree decoration to hang on their tree at home!
There are lots of fun family rides for most ages at Santa’s Magical Kingdom. You can ride on as many as you like, as they are free with your admission ticket! Some rides are quite gentle and some that have height restrictions are a little more daring. There are more rides for older kids and parents in 2017. Parents are also able to ride with their children on many of the rides, our pick of the bunch includes:
Sky Flyer – this is a huge tower that’s found outside the pyramid. It gets raised high up and the swings go around and around. Not for anyone scared of heights, we loved it.
Mrs Claus carousel, where kids can ride in the sleighs or on the horses.
The children’s roller coaster is great for little daredevils, it goes very fast!
The chair ride
Snowland inflatable
There are also carnival games which cost around $5 for a turn, where kids can have a go at winning a prize.
One hour after each session starts, the Christmas Circus Spectacular begins. This lasts for 35 minutes.
There’s plenty of seating and everyone is fairly close to the action. The kids loved the show. This year the brand new show includes international acts and performers.
The performing dogs are sure to be a crowd favourite!
And of course, there will be an appearance from the big man himself!
The entertainment really got turned up a few notches when they rolled out a huge round metal cage. A motor cross rider came out and was soon inside the cage riding upside down. We were peeking through our fingers!
It became even more death-defying when a second motorbike got added to the cage and then a third. We were all seriously impressed! The show was lots of fun.
Whoa check out the 3 bikers at Santa's Magical Kingdom Perth!!! Amazing!!!

Prams aren’t allowed into the circus tent. There is pram parking available in the circus foyer.
And that’s not all! Purchase tickets for a special “Rudolph’s Birthday” session which are held on the 11th to 15th of December. As well as all the other rides and activities, you’ll also be invited to the deer’s birthday party featuring sing-alongs, cupcakes and special guests – The Minions!
There are a few food vendors around Santa’s Magical Kingdom selling meals (like fish and chips, hot dogs etc), drinks and snacks. We did notice a few of those also offered healthy options like fruit salads, sandwiches and leafy salads. There’s also merchandise to buy and showbags, so kids can take home a memento from the event.
We really loved the festive atmosphere at Santa’s Magical Kingdom. The fabulous Crown Pyramid can be found on the carpark opposite McDonalds and the Crown food court.
