The obvious benefits of meeting in a safe friendly supportive positive and encouraging space to create art\, led to the program becoming ongoing and a new focus of Richmind’s recovery approach and brand.\n \nThis exhibition celebrates the numerous and profound benefits art can have on our mental health and the amazing diversity of ways people can express themselves creatively to support their wellbeing. DESCRIPTION:Dive in to the City of Belmont 2026 Art Awards Workshop Series! \nJoin JC\, visual artist\, set builder\, props maker and general arts-related construction wizard for this hands-on carpentry demonstration. JC will demonstrate how to build a stretcher frame and stretch two different sizes of canvas. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to volunteer for a variety of hands-on tasks throughout the session. Power tool safety protocols will be taught and implemented. This workshop aims to encourage artists to learn practical skills which provide autonomy and are cost-saving. \nThis is a carpentry demonstration designed specifically for beginners\, with no previous experience with tools or in workshops. It provides an inclusive and supportive environment for learning. Women and women-identifying folx are welcomed. \nWhat to wear: long pants and sturdy closed shoes. DESCRIPTION:Looking for a chill spot to hang out? Young people are welcome at our youth centres during Drop-In sessions! Meet new friends\, play games\, and just unwind with Youth Workers on hand.  \nDrop-In at the Castle is a program which provides a safe place throughout the school term for young people who enjoy meeting up and making new friends. There is a range of fun activities including playing table tennis\, foosball\, art activities\, conquering games on the Xbox\, 360 or the Wii and sports equipment. No registration is required to attend. Unless stated otherwise\, all activities hosted during Drop-In are free and light refreshments provided. \nEligibility to attend Drop-In at The Castle\nEligible participants to attend this program must be aged between 10 to 18 years old.  \n \nDates and Times\nAll Youth and Families programs do not operate on Western Australian public holidays\, as listed on the Government of Western Australia’s website. \nPlease visit the School Holiday Drop-In at The Castle event page for when Drop-In at the Castle will be held during the upcoming school holidays.  \nShort-Notice Changes to Programs/Events (including Cancellations)\nFacilitators schedule these much-loved programs in advance.
