Our facilitators analyze the participants’ skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. Our instructors relay the importance of safety\, the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. Freestyle Now team members will be present to offer participants technical advice\, trick tips\, skill development and skatepark etiquette. \nParticipants are split up into groups based on their skill level and what they are interested in achieving. \nAll participants would need their own equipment\, helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our coaches may be able to assist with some minor adjustments (Scooter/BMX Bar straightening\, skate/rollerskate truck/wheel tightening) before the session starts if required and time permitting. \nParticipants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. \nKey points \n\nParticipants must be wearing a helmet\nPlease remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen\nParents must stay on site if their child is under 12\nLimited spare scooters and skateboard may be available\nPlease arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendance\nDisclaimer form will need to be signed on the day\nCoaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters or plastic rollers skates\n\nFreestyle Now coaching workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. \nOur coaches let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. \nAll our coaches are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Our workshops cover all aspects of the sports\, as well as equipment maintenance and personal safety issues. \nFreestyle Now hosts many coaching workshop sessions throughout the year for various local governments\, community organizations and private companies. SUMMARY:The West Australian Pulse 2026
DESCRIPTION:WA’s talented young artists are celebrated in this yearly showcase\, gauging the pulse of young people who will influence\, empower and shape the world we live in. It is an inspiring\, rewarding and insightful look at the world through the minds of our most talented young artists. \nThe West Australian Pulse 2026 celebrates 34 years and features 63 works by 2025 Year 12 Visual Arts graduates from 43 schools across WA. This year’s exhibition delivers an exciting range of artistic approaches with the final selection showcasing the highest calibre of artworks produced across the State. SUMMARY:Tales & Trails Storytime - EcoHub (Term 2\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Spending time in nature is so good for our physical and mental well-being. Get your pre-school children outside and join us at the EcoHub to listen to stories about nature and explore one of our fabulous reserves. (Suited to children aged ~2-4 years who are able to sit and listen to two stories.) \nWednesdays are always story days! During term\, Tales & Trails and Storytime with Alton take turns each week. \nPlease wear enclosed shoes\, a hat and/or other weather appropriate clothing. If the weather is too hot/wet\, we will provide alternative activities inside the centre (eg. music and movement\, looking at artefacts (seed pods\, feathers\, leaves etc)\, colouring in sheets). If there is light rain\, we will still go out\, so make sure to wear a raincoat! \nChildren must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Every person who will be attending will need to be registered\, including babies. Register for one or all dates. \nTales and Trails is part of our ongoing toddler program at EcoHub\, including; Buds & Blooms Nature Play Group\, Storytime with Alton\, and Freeplay. \nStory and activity themes: \n\n\n29 April: Noticing nature \n\n\n13 May: Compost \n\n\n27 May: Turtles \n\n\n10 June: Trees \n\n\n24 June: Insects \n\n\nWhat to expect: \nLengthThis event goes for one hour. \nStart timeWhile this event is quite informal\, if you do not arrive within the first 15 minutes the group may already have left for the walk. \nLocationNgoolark Space – Outside in the amphitheatre or inside if hot/wet. Note that shelter from the rain is available and alternative indoor free play will be offerred if we are unable to do a walk. \nType of event and expectationsEarly learning environment: Children should be able to sit calmly when asked and follow all instructions of the program facilitator. Parents and caregivers are responsible for the health and safety of their children at all times and must ensure the behaviour of a child in their care is not negatively impacting the experience of others. Quiet spaces will be available at this event. \nSome safety requirements:As we will be going out into a natural area please make sure you and the children with you follow the rules below: \n\n\nFeet on paths – We have a disease in the reserve called dieback that kills plants and that can spread on shoes. \n\n\nGentle hands – Exploring textures of leaves and bark is interesting\, however please encourage your kids to have gentle hands and not damage plants or other parts of the environment. \n\n\nEmpty pockets – Collecting can be fun\, however we encourage leaving what we find as homes for insects and lizards\, food for fungi and trees and to stop the spread of disease. This includes picking flowers which make seeds to grow new plants and provide food for different animals. \n\n\nEyes and ears alert – There are lizards\, birds\, frogs and snakes as well as lakes\, low hanging branches\, trip hazards in this reserve. Please keep your child close\, and stay alert as you walk. \n\n\nAccessibility \nA short walk will include some uneven ground not suitable for all types of walking aids.
