Join us for some holiday fun!” \nRegister your interest . This event is open for young people aged 11-17yrs\, youth who do not meet the required age will have their ticket refunded. \nPlease ensure that you arrive 5 mins prior to the event start time to have your name marked off by one of the Youth Workers and bring your ticket with you. \nPlease note that food will be provided \, we will be cooking Pizzas and Cupcakes.   Water is available however we do encourage you to bring your own water bottle and preferred snacks. \nDuty of Care: The City of Canning is committed to providing safe and supported environments where young people can feel welcome and thrive. Our qualified youth team will do all they can to ensure young people are safe\, supported and supervised during their time on our programs and in our centres. A large part of our Youth Service is delivering drop-in from youth centres and outreach activities at various locations; meaning young people can come and go as they please during opening times. Please note: if a young person chooses to leave in the middle of a program or centre open hours\, they have the right to do so. City of Canning does not take responsibility for young people who leave the centre or are not in the premises. DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the Shire of\, Jarrahdale-Serpentine. Freestyle Now will be hosting a skatepark coaching session at the Byford skatepark!\n\n\nThanks to the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale. \nFreestyle now will be facilitating a fun and informative coaching session at Byford Skatepark for Skateboard\, Scooter and BMX participants. Our facilitators analyze the participants’ skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our coaches speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay the importance of safety\, the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. Freestyle Now team members will be present to offer participants technical advice\, trick tips\, skill development and skatepark etiquette. \nAll participants would need their own equipment\, helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our coaches may be able to assist with some minor adjustments (Scooter/BMX Bar straightening\, skate wheel tightening) before the session starts if required and time permitting. \nParticipants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. \nKey points \n\nParticipants must be wearing a helmet\nPlease remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen\nParents must stay on site if their child is under 12\nLimited spare scooters and skateboard may be available\nPlease arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendance\nDisclaimer form will need to be signed on the day\nCoaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters\n\nFreestyle Now coaching workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. \nOur coaches let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. \nAll our coaches are very easy going and relate to the participants well.
