DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the City of Kwinana. Freestyle Now will be conducting a FREE scooter and skateboard coaching session at the Kwinana skatepark\n\n\nFreestyle now will be facilitating fun and informative coaching session at Kwinana Skatepark for skateboard and scooter participants.  \n\nSession 1 – 5pm \nSession 2 – 6pm\n\nOur facilitators analyze the participants’ skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our coaches speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay the importance of safety\, the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. Freestyle Now team members will be present to offer participants technical advice\, trick tips\, skill development and skatepark etiquette. \nParticipants are split up into groups based on their skill level and what they are interested in achieving. \nAll participants would need their own equipment\, helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our coaches may be able to assist with some minor adjustments (Scooter bar staightening and skatetruck/wheel tightening) before the session starts if required and time permitting. \nParticipants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. \nKey points \n\nParticipants must be wearing a helmet\nPlease remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen\nParents must stay on site if their child is under 12\nLimited spare scooters and skateboard may be available\nPlease arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendance\nDisclaimer form will need to be signed on the day\nCoaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters\n\nFreestyle Now coaching workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. \nOur coaches let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. \nAll our coaches are very easy going and relate to the participants well. DESCRIPTION:The Shack Drop-In is a free\, welcoming space where young people aged 10 – 18 years can relax\, connect with friends and enjoy a range of recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment. Whether you’re looking to play games\, socialise\, try something new or simply chill out\, The Shack offers opportunities to have fun and make new connections. \nYoung people can enjoy access to a pool table\, foosball\, table tennis\, PlayStation 5\, Nintendo Switch\, board games\, sports equipment and comfortable lounge areas within the open-plan drop-in space. The centre also features a fully equipped kitchen\, computers and a workshop room that hosts a variety of programs and activities throughout the year. The unique urban artwork throughout the centre creates a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the creativity and personality of the young people who use the space. \nLocated near a basketball court\, skate park and oval\, The Shack is ideal for young people who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Qualified Youth Workers are available at every session to provide support\, guidance and a friendly chat whenever needed. Light refreshments are provided\, and unless otherwise stated\, all activities are free to attend. SUMMARY:My Time - Aboriginal Support Group
DESCRIPTION:My Time is an Aboriginal Parent Support Group. The group yarns about experiences and learning about family connection over food and friendships. \n It’s open to Aboriginal families at the Coolbellup Hub on Tuesdays during school terms from midday-2pm. Lunch is provided and free creche for the children.  \n Come along and make new friendships and memories while sharing food\, craft and learning about interesting topics.
