DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the City of Kalamunda. Freestyle Now will be conducting a FREE skatepark Jam session at the High Wycombe skatepark.\n\n\nThanks to the City of Kalamunda \nFreestyle Now will be hosting a FREE skatepark jam session at the High Wycombe skatepark for Skateboard\, scooter and BMX participants. Participants will be able to learn new tricks or get advice on tricks and gain new confidence levels but most of all everyone can have a stack of fun. The coaching jam sessions are more than just helping teach skills. These workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. All our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Our workshops cover all aspects of the sports\, as well as equipment maintenance and personal safety issues. \nThroughout the skatepark jam session a variety of challenges will cater for all levels of abilities in Skateboard\, Scooter and BMX. This is a chance for participants to showcase their abilities amongst their peers and for the community to see the skatepark participants excelling in a positive way. Some of the types of challenges that might take place would include best trick\, longest manual\, best trick on a certain part of the skatepark\, most engaged rider\, best youngest rider\, etc. Prizes are given out to the winners of the challenges. \nAll equipment is checked prior to the participant’s involvement to make sure that it is in a safe condition and minor repairs or adjustments can be made if necessary. We do\, however\, reserve the right to not permit a participant to attend the workshop if we feel that their equipment does not meet safety requirements. \nKey points \n\nParticipants must be wearing a helmet\nPlease remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen\nRecommended for participants must be over the age of 6\nParents must stay on site if their child is under 12\nLimited spare scooters and skateboard may be available\nPlease arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendance\nDisclaimer form will need to be signed on the day\nCoaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters or plastic rollers skates\n\nFreestyle Now coaching workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. \nThe team members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. \nAll our coaches are very easy going and relate to the participants well. DESCRIPTION:Join Nearer to Nature and enjoy a special up-close encounter with some birds of the night\, including owls. Learn about their unique features\, behaviours\, and natural beauty.  \nAfter meeting these fascinating birds\, we’ll head out on a guided night walk through Piney Lakes Reserve in search of wild owls\, tawny frogmouths\, and the habitats they call home. Along the way\, keep your eyes peeled for other nocturnal wildlife\, including bats\, frogs\, spiders\, and a variety of other creatures that come to life after dark. \nThis is a unique opportunity to connect with nature\, learn about local wildlife\, and experience the reserve in a whole new light… or rather\, under the stars! ✨ \nThis event is perfect for families with children aged 8 and up. \nBabes in arms do not require tickets for this event \nLength \n2 hour \nStart time \nThis event has a strict start time and latecomers may not be admitted. \nLocation \nInside –Binjar Room and outside in Piney Lakes Reserve \nRequirements \nWearing enclosed shoes\, long pants and long sleeves is recommended. Please bring weather appropriate clothing\, a torch and mosquito repellent. \nType of event and expectations \nAnimal interaction rules apply – This event includes animal interaction. For the safety of the animals\, this event is unsuitable for children that cannot sit still when asked\, cannot be quiet when asked or struggle to have calm hands. We respectfully request that caregivers intervene if necessary to ensure their child’s behaviour is not negatively impacting the well-being of animals or others. \nOutdoor event – This event features a guided outdoor walk focused on observing live animals in their natural habitat. Participants are expected to follow the program facilitator’s instructions and show respect throughout the experience. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Due to the nature of the event\, there will be moments where silence is required. As such\, this event may not be ideal for children who have difficulty remaining quiet for short periods when asked. \nAccessibility \nThis event includes a walk on some uneven ground which may not be suitable for all walking aids. \nAccessible parking is available at front of EcoHub\, rooms are located on multiple levels via a ramp and toilets are available within the venue. If coming from the Fremantle area\, continue on Leach Hwy across Murdoch Drive and use the designated U-turn just after the lights to move to the westbound lanes. Go back through the lights at Murdoch Drive and take the first left.
