DESCRIPTION:An exhibition by Richmind and other artists\, to promote the benefits of art for all our mental health. \nCreating Meaning \n✰ Opening Event ✰\nSunday\, 4 January\n2:00pm to 4.00pm \nAn exhibition by Richmind and other artists\, to promote the benefits of art for all our mental health and raise funds for Richmind WA’s Mental Health Services Art Therapy Program\, “HeART & Soul”.\n \nCurated by Richmind’s Principal Artist in Residence and “Creative Therapies Coordinator David Giles \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\nThe HeART & Soul art project began as a simple distraction activity created to support people through the Christmas period\, a sometimes difficult and isolating time of year. The obvious benefits of meeting in a safe friendly supportive positive and encouraging space to create art\, led to the program becoming ongoing and a new focus of Richmind’s recovery approach and brand.\n \nThis exhibition celebrates the numerous and profound benefits art can have on our mental health and the amazing diversity of ways people can express themselves creatively to support their wellbeing. SUMMARY:Baby Rhyme Time - Kelmscott
DESCRIPTION:Spend quality time with your little ones and encourage their early literacy skills with songs and rhymes\, as the City of Armadale Libraries host weekly Rhyme Time sessions. \nThe rhythm and repetition of rhymes helps babies and children learn about words\, sounds and language. Bounce and sing along with your baby to some favourite nursery rhymes\, and learn some new tunes to entertain and educate your baby at home. \nSessions are suitable for babies aged zero to two years. Siblings are welcome. \nBookings are not required. \nChildcare centres and groups must contact the library beforehand if planning to attend. \nPlease leave prams at home when possible as space is limited. \nThese sessions are subject to change and will not occur on public holidays or if the library is closed. Sessions are not held between Christmas and New Year.
