Freestyle Now is hosting a FREE Scooter\, Skateboard\, BMX\, Rollerskate jam at Esplanade Youth Plaza.\n\n\nThanks to the City of Fremantle. \nFreestyle Now will be hosting a FREE SHE / HER and Gender Diverse skatepark jam session at the Esplanade Youth Plaza skatepark for Skateboard\, Rollerskate\, BMX and Scooter participants. The workshop sessions would be open to any SHE / HER or Gender Diverse participant over the age of 6\, with the aim of creating an inclusive\, welcoming space for all people and skill levels to get involved at the skatepark.  \n Limited spare skateboards and scooters are available\, bring your own helmet. Participants will be able to learn new tricks or get advice on tricks and gain new confidence levels but most of all everyone can have a stack of fun. The coaching jam sessions are more than just helping teach skills. These workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. All our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Our workshops cover all aspects of the sports\, as well as equipment maintenance and personal safety issues. \nThroughout the skatepark jam session a variety of challenges will cater for all levels of abilities in Skateboard\, Rollerskate\, BMX and Scooter participants. This is a chance for participants to showcase their abilities amongst their peers and for the community to see the skatepark participants excelling in a positive way. Some of the types of challenges that might take place would include best trick\, longest manual\, best trick on a certain part of the skatepark\, most engaged rider\, best youngest rider\, etc. Prizes are given out to the winners of the challenges. \nAll equipment is checked prior to the participant’s involvement to make sure that it is in a safe condition and minor repairs or adjustments can be made if necessary. We do\, however\, reserve the right to not permit a participant to attend the workshop if we feel that their equipment does not meet safety requirements. \nKey points \n\nParticipants must be wearing a helmet\nPlease remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen\nRecommended for participants must be over the age of 6\nParents must stay on site if their child is under 12\nLimited spare scooters and skateboard may be available\nPlease arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendance\nDisclaimer form will need to be signed on the day\nCoaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters or plastic rollers skates\n\nFreestyle Now coaching workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. \nThe team members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. \nAll our coaches are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Totems are guides connecting us to culture\, language\, and lineage. \nThrough their art\, the Farmers invite audiences to reflect on the strength of Noongar identity and its evolving place within contemporary art today. \nThis exhibition is proudly supported by the WA Government’s Department of Creative Industries\, Tourism and Sport (CITS).

Sometimes there could be unfortunate events where the vendors can no longer make it and we couldn’t find a replacement in time. A particular location may not be as busy as others so we would need to reduce the number of vendors for it to be viable for them to attend. There are also many different events around town and our vendors may be committed to other places.\n\n\nPlease remember everyone\, in order for us to keep bringing the BEST food vendors in town to cook you dinner\, we need your support. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce Chirriger Kwilla – An Exploration of Noongar Totems at the Zig Zag Gallery in Kalamunda. \n\nThis intergenerational exhibition brings together celebrated Noongar artist Peter Farmer Snr and his son Peter Farmer Jnr\, presenting new works on canvas created especially for this show. \nAt its heart are the artists’ deeply personal connections to their ancestral totems — the Chirriger (Blue Wren) and the Kwilla (Great White Shark) — alongside the element totem Kaarl (Fire). Totems are guides connecting us to culture\, language\, and lineage. \nThrough their art\, the Farmers invite audiences to reflect on the strength of Noongar identity and its evolving place within contemporary art today. \nThis exhibition is proudly supported by the WA Government’s Department of Creative Industries\, Tourism and Sport (CITS).
