DESCRIPTION:An exhibition by Richmind and other artists\, to promote the benefits of art for all our mental health. \nCreating Meaning \n✰ Opening Event ✰\nSunday\, 4 January\n2:00pm to 4.00pm \nAn exhibition by Richmind and other artists\, to promote the benefits of art for all our mental health and raise funds for Richmind WA’s Mental Health Services Art Therapy Program\, “HeART & Soul”.\n \nCurated by Richmind’s Principal Artist in Residence and “Creative Therapies Coordinator David Giles \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\nThe HeART & Soul art project began as a simple distraction activity created to support people through the Christmas period\, a sometimes difficult and isolating time of year. The obvious benefits of meeting in a safe friendly supportive positive and encouraging space to create art\, led to the program becoming ongoing and a new focus of Richmind’s recovery approach and brand.\n \nThis exhibition celebrates the numerous and profound benefits art can have on our mental health and the amazing diversity of ways people can express themselves creatively to support their wellbeing. DESCRIPTION:Spend quality time with your little ones and encourage their early literacy skills with songs and rhymes\, as the City of Armadale Libraries host weekly Rhyme Time sessions. \nThe rhythm and repetition of rhymes helps babies and children learn about words\, sounds and language. Bounce and sing along with your baby to some favourite nursery rhymes\, and learn some new tunes to entertain and educate your baby at home. \nSessions are suitable for babies aged zero to two years. Siblings are welcome. \nBookings are not required. \nChildcare centres and groups must contact the library beforehand if planning to attend. \nPlease leave prams at home when possible as space is limited.

DESCRIPTION:Looking for a chill spot to hang out? Young people are welcome at our youth centres during Drop-In sessions! Meet new friends\, play games\, and just unwind with Youth Workers on hand.  \nDrop-In at the Castle is a program which provides a safe place throughout the school term for young people who enjoy meeting up and making new friends. There is a range of fun activities including playing table tennis\, foosball\, art activities\, conquering games on the Xbox\, 360 or the Wii and sports equipment. No registration is required to attend. Unless stated otherwise\, all activities hosted during Drop-In are free and light refreshments provided. \nEligibility to attend Drop-In at The Castle\nEligible participants to attend this program must be aged between 10 to 18 years old.  \n \nDates and Times\nAll Youth and Families programs do not operate on Western Australian public holidays\, as listed on the Government of Western Australia’s website. \nPlease visit the School Holiday Drop-In at The Castle event page for when Drop-In at the Castle will be held during the upcoming school holidays.  \nShort-Notice Changes to Programs/Events (including Cancellations)\nFacilitators schedule these much-loved programs in advance.
