DESCRIPTION:The City of Stirling invites you to join us for a Community Planting event at Carine Regional Open Space to help restore sections of the bushland. \nThis event is an opportunity to: \n\nMeet your neighbours and build a sense of community\nImprove the biodiversity and conservation value of our natural areas\nLearn more about conservation and how you can get involved.\n\nThis event will involve planting in the bushland with a variety of important plant species. The planting is done by community members with the guide of expert help from our staff and conservation volunteers. \nThe City requests you bring your own gardening gloves\, water bottle\, closed-in shoes\, protective eye wear and weather appropriate clothing (long pants\, either a broad brim hat/sunscreen or raincoat/pants). On arrival to the event\, volunteers and residents will be asked to register and an induction will be carried out prior to planting activities. This is a family friendly event\, however\, please ensure children are supervised at all times as we will be working in the bush. \nComplimentary lunch will be provided after the event\, along with ‘thank you’ tokens of appreciation of your efforts. \nTiming: \n\n8.45am Registration\n9.00am – 9.30am Induction\, welcome and planting demo\n9.30am – 11.30am Planting\n11.30am – 12.00 noon Lunch Break and meeting your fellow community\n12.00 noon End of event.\n\nDon’t miss out! DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Lake Magenup in Wandi as we plant an Urban Shade Forest to enjoy for years to come.\n\n\nJoin us at Lake Magenup in Wandi to plant native trees together we can create cooler\, greener and more resilient cities. \nUrban Shade Forests are small pockets of native plants growing in urban spaces\, helping to bring nature back into our cities where vegetation has often been lost over time. Take home some native seedlings to bolster your own garden and enjoy a light lunch at the end (please advise of any dietary requirements). \n\nWear clothing appropriate for the weather including long sleeves and enclosed shoes\nGloves and planting tools will be provided\, however you’re welcome to bring your own gloves if you wish.\nParking available at Wandi Community Hall\, and you’ll be directed to the planting site in the reserve behind.\n\nRegistration is essential. \nThis event is delivered in partnership with Conservation Volunteers Australia through CVA’s Urban Shade Forest initiative. The Urban Shade Forest initiative is supported by founding partner Chevron Australia\, Chevron’s premium fuel brand Caltex and supported locally by the City of Kwinana.

DESCRIPTION:Froggy’s Fun on the Green is a free\, family-friendly mobile outdoor play session for Cockburn parents\, grandparents or carers with children aged 0 to 5 years. It offers fun activities for children and a chance for mums\, dads\, grandparents or carers to connect with others\, and also access information and support. \nTwo sessions are held per week during school terms. \nPlease note: \n\nNo bookings are required\, just sign in on the day so we can record attendance\nIf you arrive early (before 9am or 8.30am in Term 1) at the park\, use the playground until the session is set up\nDo not attend if you or your child is sick\nPlease help staff pack up after the session\nDo not bring dogs for safety reasons\nParents/carers are responsible for looking after their children at all times (please note there is a lake in Manning Park)\nPlease don’t take photos or videos of children who are not yours or who you are not caring for on the day.\nIn case of bad weather\, call 0467 713 447 to see if Froggy’s is going ahead\, but remember staff are busy setting up so cannot always respond immediately.
