Join us at Amherst Village Library on the 7th of March for a free Author Talk event to celebrate. \nKate Purcell is a local writer/speaker\, peer worker\, and the author of two published books. In her first book “Hope Inc. Overcoming Anorexia and Schizoaffective Disorder”\, Kate shared the story of her struggles with various mental health disorders. One of her greatest struggles was with anorexia nervosa\, a condition that disproportionately affects women all over the world. \nKate’s second book\, “Tell Your Eating Disorder to F**k Off”\, has recently been published\, and is the self-help book for eating disorders\, written by someone who lives with it. Kate’s latest publication is a toolbox for separating who you are from your disorder\, and building a life without constant struggles around food\, weight\, and negative self-perception. \nJoin us at Amherst Village Library on Saturday the 7th of March\, for an author talk by Kate about her new book\, her journey\, and her mission to help others find the hope and healing they are missing. \nCopies of Kate’s books will be available for purchase and signing. \nAdults only. As a session musician he has worked for many renowned Australian artists including Empire of the Sun\, Pond & Meg Mac. Romeo Walker deliver smooth\, genre-defying sounds backed by Ben Witt’s well known and loved vocals. \n  \n☼♪ Heathcote Blue ♪☼ \nHeathcote Blue began as the intimate folk project of Boorloo/Perth songwriter Lyndon Blue\, inspired by the stripped-back storytelling of Nick Drake and Gillian Welch. What started as a solo venture soon grew into a duo with violinist/vocalist (and sibling) Maddy Blue\, and has since blossomed into a collective of alt-country collaborators including Daniel Harrison\, Saskia Willinge and Jameson Feakes. They charge themselves with solar energy\, becoming gloriously luminescent as twilight falls\, creating an entirely different experience after dark. Crystal People invites you to witness the grace of air\, water and light giving life to these human imprints.  \n  \nThis is installation art that speaks to our shared humanity\, our relationship with nature and the importance of living in harmony with the elements. DESCRIPTION:Froggy’s Fun on the Green is a free\, family-friendly mobile outdoor play session for Cockburn parents\, grandparents or carers with children aged 0 to 5 years. It offers fun activities for children and a chance for mums\, dads\, grandparents or carers to connect with others\, and also access information and support. \nTwo sessions are held per week during school terms on Mondays and Tuesdays. \nPlease note: \n\nNo bookings are required\, just sign in on the day so we can record attendance\nIf you arrive early (before 9am or 8.30am in Term 1) at the park\, use the playground until the session is set up\nDo not attend if you or your child is sick\nPlease help staff pack up after the session\nDo not bring dogs for safety reasons\nParents/carers are responsible for looking after their children at all times (please note there is a lake in Manning Park)\nPlease be aware of parking rules in reserves and parks and be aware of turtle nests or turtles hatching\, laying at Manning Park\nPlease don’t take photos or videos of children who are not yours or who you are not caring for on the day.\nIn case of bad weather\, call 0467 713 447 to see if Froggy’s is going ahead\, but remember staff are busy setting up so cannot always respond immediately.
