DESCRIPTION:Acqua Forte Parade transforms Hillarys Boat Harbour into a shimmering realm of fire\, light and dreamlike wonder. Created by acclaimed French theatrical innovators Ilotopie\, this spectacular water parade unfolds across a 200-metre stretch of harbour\, turning the water itself into a living stage.   \n  \nFrom one end of the harbour\, two tourists appear in a small car\, sputtering over the shallows as they search for their way. At the other\, a dreamer glides across the surface on a giant bed\, rowing toward destinations unknown. At the heart of the journey\, horns blare\, a collision occurs and a flurry of feathers erupts\, transforming the harbour into an imaginary world.   \n  \nAs darkness falls\, fantastical beings emerge\, mysterious riders atop strange camel-horses\, a magnificent dragon and its fearless tamer\, fire-bearing scouts lighting the way\, ethereal muses of fire and water\, otherworldly elven creatures and a king accompanied by his devoted fool. A floating car with two intrepid passengers and two specially designed props created exclusively for Joondalup Festival complete the spectacle. They charge themselves with solar energy\, becoming gloriously luminescent as twilight falls\, creating an entirely different experience after dark. Crystal People invites you to witness the grace of air\, water and light giving life to these human imprints.  \n  \nThis is installation art that speaks to our shared humanity\, our relationship with nature and the importance of living in harmony with the elements. DESCRIPTION:Electrikhana is a free annual event held by the Australian Electric Vehicle Association (AEVA) and supported by the City of Canning\, to promote the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs). \nTalks and workshops will be held inside the centre\, while a range of EVs will be parked outside for the curious. \nElectrify Everything WA will also be in attendance\, discussing the benefits of switching to clean electric technologies. \nAll are welcome – bring the family and your friends to this highly informative\, friendly and free event. \nHow do I get to the event?\nCanning River Eco Education Centre is located on Kent Street\, Wilson. There is limited parking on site and we ask that attendees do not park on resident verges. We encourage you to walk\, cycle or carpool to the event where possible. Created by acclaimed French theatrical innovators Ilotopie\, this spectacular water parade unfolds across a 200-metre stretch of harbour\, turning the water itself into a living stage.   \n  \nFrom one end of the harbour\, two tourists appear in a small car\, sputtering over the shallows as they search for their way. At the other\, a dreamer glides across the surface on a giant bed\, rowing toward destinations unknown. At the heart of the journey\, horns blare\, a collision occurs and a flurry of feathers erupts\, transforming the harbour into an imaginary world.   \n  \nAs darkness falls\, fantastical beings emerge\, mysterious riders atop strange camel-horses\, a magnificent dragon and its fearless tamer\, fire-bearing scouts lighting the way\, ethereal muses of fire and water\, otherworldly elven creatures and a king accompanied by his devoted fool. DESCRIPTION:There’s something hauntingly beautiful unfolding on the lakes at Sir James McCusker Park – 52 crystalline human figures rising from the water\, swaying with the wind and shifting with the light.  \n  \nCrystal People is a meditation on community\, transformation and our connection to the elements\, brought to life by French theatrical company Ilotopie. These larger-than-life luminescent sculptures aren’t static installations – they’re living\, breathing presences that respond to their environment.   \n  \nThroughout the day\, these figures play with seasonal light and shadow\, their forms shifting and multiplying in the water’s reflection. They charge themselves with solar energy\, becoming gloriously luminescent as twilight falls\, creating an entirely different experience after dark. Crystal People invites you to witness the grace of air\, water and light giving life to these human imprints.  \n  \nThis is installation art that speaks to our shared humanity\, our relationship with nature and the importance of living in harmony with the elements. Whether you visit during your morning walk\, pause during lunch or return as the sun sets to see them glow\, each encounter offers something new.   \n  \nCrystal People transforms your local park into a space of wonder and meaning. For 16 magical days\, Joondalup becomes home to these ethereal beings that remind us we’re connected to something bigger than ourselves.

SUMMARY:Froggy's Fun on the Green
DESCRIPTION:Froggy’s Fun on the Green is a free\, family-friendly mobile outdoor play session for Cockburn parents\, grandparents or carers with children aged 0 to 5 years. It offers fun activities for children and a chance for mums\, dads\, grandparents or carers to connect with others\, and also access information and support. \nTwo sessions are held per week during school terms on Mondays and Tuesdays. \nPlease note: \n\nNo bookings are required\, just sign in on the day so we can record attendance\nIf you arrive early (before 9am or 8.30am in Term 1) at the park\, use the playground until the session is set up\nDo not attend if you or your child is sick\nPlease help staff pack up after the session\nDo not bring dogs for safety reasons\nParents/carers are responsible for looking after their children at all times (please note there is a lake in Manning Park)\nPlease be aware of parking rules in reserves and parks and be aware of turtle nests or turtles hatching\, laying at Manning Park\nPlease don’t take photos or videos of children who are not yours or who you are not caring for on the day.\nIn case of bad weather\, call 0467 713 447 to see if Froggy’s is going ahead\, but remember staff are busy setting up so cannot always respond immediately.
