DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the City of Wanneroo\, Freestyle Now will be hosting a skatepark coaching jam  session at the Yanchep skatepark.\n\n\nThanks to the City of Wanneroo. \nYanchep skatepark skateboard\, scooter and BMX coaching jam session \nTIMES – 3pm – 5.30pm open session \nLOCATION – Yanchep skatepark \nINFORMATION – Freestyle Now will be hosting a skateboard\, scooter and BMX coaching jam session. The session will be open to any participants in skateboard\, scooter and BMX who would like to increase their skill level and get advice on tricks. There will be mini challenges held during the session with lots of prizes to be given away. Participants can register for the sessions on line via the link below. Participants can also register on the day. All thanks to the City of Wanneroo. \nThe jam session runs for 2.5 hours. Participants can come and go as they please. There is no groups allocated to Freestyle Now coaches in this session. It is an open session in relation to the coaching side. Mini challenges and fun skatepark games are the main focus. \nAt the beginning and end of the session Freestyle Now will host a skatepark information session the help educate participants and parents on all things related to skatepark use (etiquette\, safety\, equipment) \nThe workshop sessions would be open to any participant over the age of 6. \nFreestyle Now squad members would be present to offer participants technical advice\, trick tips\, skill development and skatepark etiquette. \nOur facilitators analyze the participant’s skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. Skills can be taught but confidence cannot. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our instructors speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay this safety message to our participants and reiterate the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. \nAll participants would need their own equipment and would also be required to wear a helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our facilitators are not able to make major repairs to participants equipment during the session. \nParticipants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. \nKey points \n• Coaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters\, street bicycles or mountain bikes – BMX bikes and 2 wheel scooters only! \n• Participants must be wearing a helmet \n• Please remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen \n• Participants must be over the age of 6 \n• Parents must stay on site if their child is under 12 \nFreestyle Now coaching workshops are fun\, informative and motivational. The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. All our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Our workshops cover all aspects of the sports\, as well as equipment maintenance and personal safety issues. \nFreestyle Now hosts many coaching workshop sessions throughout the year for various local governments\, community organizations and private companies. \nFreestyle Now also can do private individualise coaching lessons. \nwww.freestylenow.net

DESCRIPTION:Join us for singing\, giggles\, bounces and rhymes.\nThese sessions are perfect for parents with babies aged 0–12 months (pre-walkers) who want to meet other local families and enjoy some fun in a relaxed environment. Singing and playing along with rhymes also supports your baby’s early language and brain development. \nFor the safety of all attendees\, this program is suitable for babies ages 0 – 12 months only.  \n\nIf your child is already walking or over 12 months old\, please come along to a Toddler Time session to discover an exciting session suitable for your little mover. \nClick here to discover Toddler Time \nBookings are not required for this program\, however\, space is limited and places are allocated via a token system. DESCRIPTION:Me at 3 is a weekly program\, run during the school term for children and their parents and carers. The fun and engaging program will help children develop essential skills in preparation for attending school (Kindy/Pre-Primary). \nSome of the skills we will help build upon include: \n\nBasics of the alphabet\, pattern recognition and phonic sounds.\nRecognising numbers 1-10 and counting in sequence.\nDeveloping fine motor skills\, using scissors\, utensils\, buttons.\nLearning to share\, emotion regulation and communication skills.\n\nEach lesson will focus on either a letter\, number or colour and incorporate fine motor skills through crafts or tabletop activities. \nWeek One will focus on the letter “A”. We will read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle\, sing food and bug themed songs before practicing our counting and phonic goals. Children will then be invited to create an apple themed craft or explore threading and pattern making at our activity tables. \nWhen: Every Thursday (during school term only)\nTime: 10.30am to 11.00am\nWhere: Mandurah Library \nTo help guide these lessons\, we have referred to Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority’s (ACECQA) Developmental Milestones Document. \nDevelopmental Milestones EYLF and NQS document \nACECQA is the independent national authority that assists governments in administering the National Quality Framework (NQF) for children’s education and care.
