Discover Tree Man by ENESS, a large-scale interactive installation landing in Cathedral Square this October.
In an increasingly digital world, reconnect with the environment through the arms of Tree Man, an installation created in response to the digital-driven culture of contemporary times, a notion encapsulated visually through the sculpture’s screen-shaped head. Tree Man highlights the importance of humans connecting with and nurturing the environment.
This is expressed through the Tree Man character encircling a sapling in his arms: providing sanctuary for the young tree and at the same time providing an inner sanctuary for visitors.
As visitors enter Tree Man’s arms, the over 4-metre-high inflatable installation is activated, creating soft light pulsation and diffused colour, like sunlight through foliage on a sunny day.
comes to life daily 4 – 22 October, 5pm – 9pm.
Making his way to Cathedral Square from the i Light Singapore festival, Tree Man makes his first visit to Perth for a limited time only.
Tree Man ENESS, has been made possible with assistance from the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries CBD Revitalisation Grant Program.
