Thinking Green: Refashioning your clothing (Guildford)
February 11, 2023 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Please note that this is a program for adults and young people aged 12 and over and is an interactive presentation. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event. Please book one ticket for each person attending.
Local creative Mariana Kirova from EcoFashionSewing.com will share first-hand tips, easy-to-follow system and refashion methods so you save, reuse and start creating beautiful eco-friendly clothing by applying basic sewing skills and using clothing you no longer wear. Although a non-sew presentation, come and get insider’s secrets on how to transform ‘old clothes into new’ by exploring the demonstrated clothing projects, some of which are originals from Mariana’s ‘Upside-down’ upcycled collection, refashions for The Slow Clothing Project 2016 and publications in the US magazine ‘Altered Couture’.
Your questions are welcomed throughout this interactive presentation, so you start creating sooner, while making a positive impact our planet needs right now.
