The Australiana Backyarder
November 5, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Spend a Sunday afternoon with us celebrating summer with a traditional Australian Sunday afternoon backyard event.
Enjoy an intimate performance by one of Australia’s leading songwriters, Jae Laffer, set to the backdrop of the stunning heritage listed Gallop House, on the banks of the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River).
With event partners Otherside Brewery, you can enjoy a beverage and a traditional Aussie BBQ at this family friendly event.
Jae Laffer is a talented songwriter, producer and musician. He recorded six albums as lead singer and songwriter of The Panics, collecting numerous awards along the way including an ARIA and Triple J Album of the Year. He has subsequently release two solo albums and has spent his time in Gallop House working on a third with a series of collaborators.
The residency is part of the Prelude Program run by the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Composers House Trust at three heritage buildings across Australia.
Doors open at 4.00 pm.
Please bring your wallet or purse, as some of the beverage and food options require payment.
Parking is available on Birdwood Parade on the lawn to the right of the driveway, or at the carpark on Esplanade with a walk up the magnificent steps to Gallop House.
