In this 3 week series learn the art of friendship in a welcoming group, where you’ll be guided in
discussions, and reflections, and be provided with conversation prompts to help
in honing your interpersonal communication skills.
You will practice the art of being both a compassionate listener and speaker, as
you explore particular friendship conversation prompts to help in sparking new,
or reinvigorating, old friendships.
WEEK 1
The Art and Science of Friendship
Thursday 12 October, 10 – 11.30am at Armadale Library
Get to know a little bit about the science of loneliness and the
impacts on health and wellbeing. Hear about the physical health
benefits possible through sustaining quality connections. Learn
about the role of empathetic resonance in connecting with
others. Explore three kinds of connections that support quality
relationships.
These sessions are for adults.
