Talking About Cyber Safety and Digital Wellness

Join the City of Mandurah and Kayelene Kerr, founder of eSafeKids for this community, parent and carer workshop on keeping our kids safe online.
Parenting in the digital age can be complex and challenging. Whilst there are many benefits for our children being online, there are also risks. As the trusted adults in our children’s lives, we can support them to maximise the benefits and minimise the risks. Guidance, education and protection have the potential to empower children to use technology safely, respectfully, responsibly, critically and positively.
You will leave this workshop with conversation starters, practical strategies and resource recommendations to support you.
Kayelene will cover:
- Developing bodies, brains & behaviour
- Online predators and grooming
- Digital footprint and reputation
- Gaming and social media
- Cyberbullying, responding and reporting
- And much more

Arrive from 5pm for light refreshments
Workshop will commence at 5.30pm
Peel Thunder Lane Group Stadium, Platinum Room, 11 Dower Street, Mandurah.
Please note, content is not suitable for children, so children are unable to attend. No creche facility available.
Light refreshments will be provided, so please advise of your dietary requirements when booking.
