Spill the Tea – Drag Makeup with Maven!
August 24 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Come and discover how to apply drag makeup in a safe and inclusive space from one of Perth’s up and coming drag queens, Maven!
Thanks to our Spill the Tea folk, you will be treated to a session which explores standard “Femme” Drag Makeup, and how the principles of a “standard” drag face can be applied to any face you want to paint. Including unconventional skin colours such as pastels, red, blue etc and different face structures such as drag king, masculine features.
Maven will also be breaking down techniques and products used, outlining how drag makeup can be broken down into 3/4 stages to create consistency while being able to experiment. How to use makeup to exemplify and compliment your drag, and its purpose within the context of the artform.
You’ll need to bring your own makeup. Maven will be painting their own face, whilst explaining the ins and outs of drag make up. Attendees will be given a list of make up products to help them with their drag makeup journey.
