PrideFest Zines for Teens
November 29 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pmFree
Join us to create a Zine for PrideFest – This year’s PrideFest theme is ‘Brave’, if you have a story to share or want to get creative, we encourage you to come along! The session will be facilitated by Zine maker Sophie Smith.
Zines (short for “magazines” and pronounced “zeens,” ) are small, independently published pamphlets or magazines. Zines are easy and inexpensive to make!
Creating and distributing a zine is rewarding and a great way to unleash your creativity and share ideas. Whether you want your zine to be a serious commentary on social issues or just something quirky and fun.
Zines made at the workshop have the opportunity to be displayed for others to read in Kwinana Public Library’s ‘Little Zine Library’.
The workshop will be for young LGBTQIA+ identifying people and allies in a safe and inclusive environment.
