Midland Soar | Midland | School Holiday Program

A fun workshop for kids aged 7 – 11 years will design and build their own kite and finish the workshop with a kite flying activity.

    A fun free two-day workshop for kids to exploring goal setting and challenging ourselves to be better. This interactive event will see participants design and build their own kite and finish the workshop with a kite flying activity.

    On Day 1, we have a range of engaging activities planned, including crafts, games, and social activities.

    On Day 2, get ready for an unforgettable excursion to Arial Yoga!

    It’s the perfect opportunity for participants to bond, have fun, and create lasting memories.


    Thursday 5 October | 9:30am – 3:30pm

    Friday 6 October | 10:00am – 3:00pm

    Attendees are required to attend both days.


    Youth aged 7 to 11who has a family member or a friend living with a mental health challenge or is at risk of developing a mental health challenge themselves.


    Day 1 – HelpingMinds office, 1A Sayer St, Midland

    Day 2 – Arial Yoga Empowered Centre & Weeip Park.

    *Parents to drop off and pick up at Arial Yoga Empowered Centre & Weeip Park.


    Please bring hat, sun cream, water bottle and enclosed shoes.


    Lunch and snacks will be provided.

    Please be aware that selecting a ticket does not guarantee a spot at this event; it serves as an expression of your interest. Our team will promptly contact you to assess your eligibility and will advise if a space has been allocated.

    Booking a ticket does not mean your space is secured – one of the HelpingMinds Team will be in touch to advise if your child has secured a spot.



    • All young people wishing to access HelpingMinds Programs require a current Intake Assessment and consent form (within 6 months) undertaken with the Parent/Guardian. Please email cyfs@helpingminds.org.au and our Customer Service team can book this in. This is required to be completed prior to acceptance to any services.
    • A signed consent form is required to access all HelpingMinds services and waiver form, where required, will need to be signed by the parent/Guardian prior to acceptance into this program.
    • This program is available to young people who are impacted by a family member or friend living with mental-ill health or is at risk of developing mental-ill health. Eligibility criteria applies.
    • Children must live in the City of Swan
    • Limited spaces available, please register early to avoid disappointment.
    • Please note booking a ticket does not secure your child/young person’s spot on the program. A member of our team will be in touch to confirm acceptance shortly.
    • To ensure all young people get the opportunity to participate in our programs, please only enrol your child in a maximum of 2 workshops per holiday period.
