Making the Most of Community Life
October 16, 2023 @ 10:00 am - October 17, 2023 @ 2:00 pm
Community inclusion and how to make it happen is essential to the overall health, well-being and safety of people with disability and their families/carers, who often experience limited personal connections with others in their community.
Our ‘Making the Most of Community Life’ Workshop will dive into the essence of community life, what it means to be a valued citizen and explore strategies to genuinely improve the chances of forming meaningful bonds and lasting relationships in the community.
Presented by SRV specialist, John Armstrong, our workshops will include presentations, interactive activities, and discussions around community life, community inclusion activities and how to super-charge their effectiveness for you or your family member with a disability.
If you’d like to find out more about the ways you could create positive change/advocate for your family member within your community, we’d love you to join us for our:
“Making the Most of Community Life” workshop on Monday, 16 October, 2023 and Tuesday 17 October 2023, 10 am -2.00 pm at Valued Lives, Belmont Hub, 213 Wright Street, Cloverdale !
