As the festive season approaches, we invite you to join our Waste Education and the wonderful members of Cockburn Mens’ Shed for a unique workshop that will help you to celebrate the holidays sustainability.
With the expert support from the Menshed Volunteers, learn how to transform old wooden pallets into charming and sustainable Christmas trees.
You will also gain insights into reducing waste during the holidays season.
Everyone is welcome regardless of your skills with the tools (16 years old and over)
Light refreshments will be provided. All wood materials, equipment and tools will be provided.
Sustainability is a key strategic value for the City of Cockburn. The City has identified the following vision statement to ensure sustainability of its waste management services: “To lead and support a community that avoids waste generation, reduces environmental impacts and consider the waste that is produced as a valuable resource to be recovered, reused and recycled.”
Cost: $5 per ticket
What to bring: Bring your reusable water bottle.
Refreshments/food: Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
