Learn2Adult: Teenagers and Families Workshop

November 14, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Worried about the transition to adulthood? Unsure how to prepare for what’s ahead? Learn2Adult’s Decision-Making Roadmap tool can help.

What is Learn2Adult?

An initiative that prepares young people to take control of their lives and become confident adult decision-makers.

Learn2Adult is run by Mosaic and supported by Telethon.

What does the Decision-Making Roadmap tool do?

It helps families and teenagers proactively plan the transition of decision-making from parents to adult children.

For teenagers/young adults this means:

  • Better quality of life and respect of rights.
  • Avoiding harm caused by frustration and misunderstanding.
  • Avoiding the unnecessary use of restrictive practices in adulthood.

For families this means:

  • A happier, effective transition to an adult-adult relationship with their children.

Who is this workshop for?

Teenagers with disability aged 14 to 18 and their families.

The teenager and at least 1 carer attend together.
