Kids Exercise for Mental Health Week – Session 2 (10–15-year-olds)
October 6, 2023 @ 11:15 am - 12:15 pm
To celebrate Mental Health Week and to shine a spotlight on youth mental health, 360 Health + Community will be hosting exercise sessions at Swan Districts Football Club to get kids moving and socialising with other kids.
There are two sessions that will run on the same day, are completely free to attend and will suit all levels of fitness. Session One is for kids aged 6-9 years and Session Two is for kids aged 10-15 years. There is no need to bring anything other than a water bottle, a hat, sun block and a whole heap of energy and expect to have loads of FUN!
The exercise sessions will be delivered by 360 Health + Community’s ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Aloysius (Alo) David. Alo holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Western Australia (UWA) which he completed in 2022.
Throughout his studies, Alo worked for Thriving in Motion – UWA’s exercise rehabilitation program for special needs children and young adults. He has also completed placements at Guardian Exercise Rehabilitation, UWA Exercise and Performance Centre, Stride and Redimed.
Alo holds a special interest in psychology, cardiac rehabilitation, worker’s compensation and complex conditions. He runs similar kids exercise classes every Saturday at UWA.
*Please note that by providing consent for your child to attend the exercise class, you acknowledge that the class may involve physical activity and potential risks. The safety and wellbeing of all participants are of utmost importance to us, and we will take necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment. However, you understand that neither 360 Health + Community nor the Exercise Physiologist can be held liable for any injuries or incidents that may occur during the class. Your child’s participation is voluntary, and you agree to release the organiser and instructor from any liability in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
