Harmony Storytime at Subiaco Library

August 3 @ 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Come along to Subiaco Library for a Harmony Storytime in Noongar, suitable for children aged three to twelve .

Join us for Harmony Storytime at Subiaco Library. We run special Harmony Storytime sessions on the first Wednesday of every month.

The August Harmony Storytime session will include Noongar storytelling with simple translations in English, one or two Noongar words to learn, singing in Noongar and a cultural experience.

This month we will be making woven raffia bracelets. For the younger participants there are beads to make pipe cleaner bracelets. Come along and join in the fun!

This session is suitable for children aged from three to twelve.

This is a perfect opportunity to experience stories in a different language and learn some Noongar words.

The City prides itself on being inclusive and welcoming, and hopes these sessions will help children from all backgrounds experience stories in a different language.

Please be sure to book a ticket for every person attending including children.

NOTE: Please do not attend Subiaco Library if you are feeling unwell, you are most welcome to cancel your free ticket at any time and re-book into future upcoming events when you are feeling better and are symptom free. We ask that all visitors maintain good hand hygiene and utilise the hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities available when attending events. Please maintain social distancing when attending events and if you have any concerns raise them with our friendly staff.
