This 2 day School Holiday Program focuses on caring for others and self-regulation through engaging with art activities and games.
Art for the Mind is a school holiday program for young people aged 7 -12 who are supporting a friend, family member, or relative with a mental health concern. This program uses the creative process of making art to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Program Goals:
- Increase understanding of mental health and how art can support mental well-being.
- Explore ways of expressing yourself through art to improve self-esteem and awareness.
- Utilize the creative process of producing art to practice mindfulness and relieve stress.
- Discover how to use art to regulate emotions and practice self-care.
- Learn ways to continue and maintain art as a tool for sustaining mental health well-being.
This program also includes an exciting excursion to the Wanneroo Botanic Gardens & Mini Golf!
